LGMotion

Working successfully at several high-profile museums and art galleries, our Art Scanner system is enabling curators to catalogue large-scale artworks quickly and efficiently. The technology captures high-resolution digital images allowing new insights to be uncovered, and greater understanding into the provenance of works gained with the aid of InfraRed, Ultraviolet and X-Ray spectral imaging capabilities.

The Art Scanner uses precise electro-mechanical motion technology that traverses the artwork or camera, surveying and gathering digital data. The resulting output is stunning ultra-high-resolution images with extraordinary detail and clarity.

This solution is currently being used by The National Gallery, London, Kimbell Art Museum, USA, Rijks Museum in The Netherlands and National Gallery of Art, USA.

The scanning solution is ideal for photographic, art and scientific teams, helping to better understand artwork collections with a range of devices that offer multi-spectral imaging to develop data for conservation, restoration and publication of art.

LG Motion design, manufacture and supply electro-mechanical motion control solutions across science and industry. We’ve built a reputation as a trusted partner that’s taken us around the world from the film-industry to the space industry and lots of things in-between.
