We are delighted to be able to announce that this year’s AHFAP conference will take place on the 2nd and 3rd of November at the iconic Barbican in East London.
We’ve also managed to secure their beautiful conservatory for our tea and lunch breaks, and we can’t wait to see you all there.
The keynote this year will be given by Catherine Croft, director of The Twentieth Century Society and editor of the C20 magazine. Prior to joining The Twentieth Century Society, she worked for English Heritage as a buildings inspector. She is also the author of a book on Concrete Architecture and regularly writes about contemporary as well as historic buildings.
For members travelling to London we also recommend taking the opportunity to visit some of the fantastic exhibitions on offer. Please see some ideas below!
Brian Tremain was one of the founding members of the Association of Historical and Fine Art Photographers. His Family have generously sponsored an annual bursary in remembrance of him which is open to any personal, institutional or student member. The aim is to help fund a member to attend the association’s annual conference. This includes travel, accommodation, and a conference ticket. It also includes a free 1-year membership of AHFAP.
This year’s conference will be held on Thursday 2nd November and Friday 3rd November at the Barbican, London. Day One is a conference with papers delivered by experts in fields related to the Associations aims. Day Two is a selection of workshops and demonstrations at various venues in London.
